Why use a vehicle transportation broker?
A broker provides the coordination layer between the client and authorized motor carriers. Balch uses an established carrier database and relationships, applies current qualification checks, coordinates assignment details and manages communication so the client does not have to source and manage the carrier independently.
Is Balch Logistics a motor carrier?
No. Balch Logistics, LLC is a federally licensed property broker, MC #531102. The physical transportation is provided by independent authorized motor carriers.
Where can Balch arrange vehicle transportation?
Balch arranges vehicle transportation throughout all 50 U.S. states and Canada.
Can Balch arrange enclosed service?
Yes. Enclosed service can be requested for luxury, exotic, classic, collector and other vehicles where additional protection or specialized equipment is preferred.
How much fuel should be in the vehicle?
A quarter tank or less is generally preferred. Alarms should be disabled and the assigned motor carrier should receive any remotes or information needed for kill switches or other vehicle-specific systems.
How do I receive status updates?
Your Balch account manager coordinates updates according to the communication plan established for the assignment. Commercial clients can customize who receives updates and whether Balch communicates directly with their customer or vehicle contact.
How is pricing determined?
Balch reviews the vehicle, route, timing, operability, service level, equipment requirements and current carrier conditions. We do not use a one-size-fits-all instant quote because the actual assignment details matter.
What payment methods are available?
Balch has historically accepted major credit cards, ACH, wire transfers and business payment methods. Your account manager can confirm the current options that apply to your account or assignment.
